This week was awesome!! R got baptized on Saturday, and was confirmed on Sunday. It was so awesome! This week we also got 4 investigators on date. It was awesome. They all are going to get baptized within three weeks of each other. I can't wait!! Last Thursday was mission conference. Elder Brent H Nielson of the 70 was there. It was awesome. We had a training on being safe and secure when using our mobile devices. It was super cool. We Found out we are getting our Ipads on June 17 or thereabouts. So we had a pretty good week last week.
This week I learned a lesson in perseverance. We will not go anywhere in life if we do not keep going through the hard times. As Rocky Balboa says "Life will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. Life's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and just keep going." I agree 100%. If we let it our trials and our challenges will take us out of commission forever. We cannot afford to be taken out. We must keep pushing and fighting and improving and progressing to the very end. Life won't take a time out, so we can't either. If we put our trust in the Lord and do what he wants us to do, life will be a little bit easier to deal with. Trust in Christ, and push through with your eyes on the prize. Eternal Life. That is what is at stake here. Go for the gold!!
Have a fantastic week!

Email from Elder Lofthouse 5/19/15 Getting iPads
This past week has been really good. It's been a lot of fun. R, one of our investigators, is getting baptized this Saturday. So we've been working on that a lot. We also picked up 4 new investigators. They're a family. The mother is less active, and all the kids want to be baptized. So we have a lesson with them tonight. I Love it here.
This week We are getting Ipads. i'm super excited, but I'm not sure how they'll work. But I would like to encourage everybody to use technology for good. Satan has a chokehold on the web, and it's up to us to take it back. Post uplifting thoughts a couple of times a week. It'll make all the difference.
Love you all. Have a great week!

Email from Elder Lofthouse 5/12/15 What's Up!
This week was really good. We had Seven lessons. That's the most lessons I've had in a week!! I love it. Elder Hlavaty and I are trying a new finding idea. We're going to start a 3 v 3 basketball league. I am super excited to see where it goes. I love being up here in Canada. We've been able to do some good work.
This week I would like to talk about prayer again. I love prayer. It is our one communication with God. That is the first thing Satan tries to take away when we sin. When you feel like you are not worthy to pray, that is when you need to pray the most. Don't ever believe you are not worthy to pray. Pray always that you may come of conqueror. D&C something. I don't remember.
I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week!!!

Email from Elder Lofthouse 5/4/15 P Day Change
This week was really good. We had exchanges this week. Elder Beutler and I were able to teach a very good lesson. It was the restoration, and she had a lot of questions that we were able to address. It was great. We have a lot of Former investigators that we've found in our area book that we're going to track down this week. In fact, we have a lesson with a couple tonight. They're great.
This week I had an interesting experience. Elder Hlavaty, Elder Phillips, and I were visiting some potential investigators. We came to one who lived in an apartment building. As we went to buzz him, somebody came out. So Elder Phillips grabbed the door and we went in to knock on his door. We got up to his door, knocked and all he said was "How did you get in here? This is a secure building!" and slammed the door. It was very interesting. It made me realize how far a little kindness goes. A smile to somebody on the street, just saying hello, that kind of stuff. It's a very powerful thing. you don't have to do something huge, but all the little things are quite easy to do. I encourage everybody to read the scripture Moroni 7: 45-48. And then do your best to apply those principles to your life more fully.
I need to inform you that P day is being changed to Tuesday. Permanently. So All of my emails will be coming on Tuesday now. Just letting you know!!
Have a fantastic week!!
Email from Elder Lofthouse 4/27/15 Hmm...
This week was really good. Elder Wilkinson got transferred, and Elder Hlavaty made it to Red Deer. Elder Hlavaty was in the same district as me in the MTC. So we already knew each other. We were able to meet with Bishop this week, and we got about 12 names of Less Active members that we can go visit now. We have our weeks work cut out for us.
This week I would like to talk about the importance of Temples. I have not had an opportunity to go to the temple on my mission yet. Take advantage of having Temples close by you. Go to the Temple as often as you can. It will bless your life soo much if you go. I challenge all of you to go to the temple as often as you can. You will learn so much and be strengthened a ton. Temples are the house of the Lord on earth today. The are the most spiritually feeding place of all time. Go there.
I hope you all have a fantastic week. Have a wonderful life!!
Email from Elder Lofthouse 4/20/15 Transfers...again
So this was a fun transfer. Elder Wilkinson and I did some good work. We got calls this morning, and Elder Wilkinson is being transferred to the City of Edmonton. Kingsway YSA ward. He's not very happy about it. I'm going to be companions with Elder Hlavaty. He came out with me.
This week was super fun. We were able to do a lot of finding. We set up several lessons for next week. We should be busy.
This week I had an epiphany. The spirit bore witness to me that Charity is the most important thing you can have. If we can see people with the same perspective that God does, then we will not only
want to share the gospel with everyone, we will fear for other's salvation. I think that if we can truly love people missionary work will become natural. It won't be awkward, but it will be a natural side effect of the love we feel for them.
I challenge everybody to pray fervently for charity. It is a great blessing.
