Email from Elder Lofthouse 7/27-28/15 Hmmm...

Tuesday was good. P-day is always good. We went around and browsed through random stores and all that jazz. We found a full seal skin for only $189. But then we talked to Brother Milnes, the branch mission
leader, and he told us he could get one for $40. So we'll keep on looking and waiting. Elder Anderson wants to make some mits and mukluks. How cool would that be?

Wednesday was an alright day. Elder Anderson didn't feel too great, so it was a chill day. We had district meeting with the Hunts and then we had lunch. After lunch we went and did Facebook stuff. While doing that, we got a call from Pops. He is a guy we are visiting, and he needed help doing some yard work, so we helped him mow a lawn and all
that fun stuff. Then we went back to the apartment because Elder Anderson had to take a hot shower. So I got some studying in. It was good stuff. Then we went and met up with Stephan and had a great time
with him. He is such a great guy. After that we went to the Purcell's for supper. It was incredible. We had some of the best burgers I have ever tasted. They were amazing. Afterwards we went and tried to stop
by some more people. It was a pretty ok day.

Thursday was a really good day. We went and did Facebook time and then we had lunch. After lunch we took one of the youth in the branch and one of his friends and went fishing. His friend is a nonmember and we were able to have a really good conversation with him. He was really open with his beliefs and with questions he had. It was really neat. After that we went and got Stephan and did a dump run with him. Because he lives on a houseboat, he needs to run to the dump every
once in a while to dispose of stuff. It was great fun...  Sort of. After that we went and had supper at the Bellis' residence. It was great. We had roast and potatoes and all sorts of good stuff. After
that we went and visited Kelsey and Neil, who are getting married on Saturday. They're a great couple. It was a fantastic day.

Friday was a really good day. We went and played balloon badminton again, which was a blast. Then we went and had lunch. Lunch is always good. Then we went and moved 40 chairs and 8 tables for a guy named Chris. He had an open house for his new shop Saturday, so we moved these tables and chairs for him to set up. After that we did weekly planning. Then we went and had supper with the Iversons. They moved up to Yellowknife last week. I was actually on the same flight up with them!  It was awesome. They are a fantastic family. It was a really good supper. After supper we went to see Stephan's band play. They're
called the Lonely Counsel. They're really good. So that was fun. We were able to talk to a lot of people there. It was really fun. Great day all around.

Saturday was a fun day. We wine and tried to do some yard sale contacting, but there were no yard sales going on. So we went and did Facebook. After that we were able to go to a wedding. That was
interesting. It was a less active member and a nonmember. They are awesome. During the wedding the ring bearers, a couple of 3 year old kids, tripped down the stairs. It was really interesting because lots
of people ran over their to help out, but they did it quietly and it was kind of funny. I know that sounds bad, but it was. So after that we went to help out at a open house for Unico, a contracting company.
We got to grill burgers for about an hour and a half. It was a lot of fun. We got to talk to a bunch people. It was super fun. It was a really busy day, but it was super fun.

Sunday was good. We went to church, which was good as usual. I love Yellowknife. It's an awesome place. After church we went and had lunch and then we stopped the Laroques. They are a great family. They've been gone for a while and it was the first time I met them. After that we went to the Milnes for supper. Brother Milnes invited a non member friend which was super cool. She wasn't very open to us. But Brother Milnes said he'd keep on trying. After that we went and visited Everette again. He's an awesome guy. We talked about how service is the best way to overcome jealousy and envy. It was a great day.

Sorry about the mix up. I didn't mean to send it yesterday. My bad. My companion attacked me as I was saving the draft. I panicked and accidentally pushed send. Woops.

So on Monday we had a party!  Not really, but it was really fun. We went and picked up the chairs from Unico and brought them back to the Baker community center. So after that we did Facebook stuff. Then we went and got the creamy chocolate chill from Tim Hortons. It was excellent. After lunch we went and helped out Pops with some more stuff. That was fun. Then we went and tried to stop by a bunch of people but nobody is home. Everybody is gone in the summer. Oh well we can find more people to teach. Then we went and had supper with the Coopers. They're awesome. I love this place. It's amazing.

Something I saw this week made me kind of sad. I saw that in Detroit they unveiled a satanic statue. Why?  Because the devil is running unchecked through the world. Now is the time for us to be spreading the word of God with as much haste and conviction as we can muster. If you are waiting for the 'opportune moment', then you are wasting your time. We cannot afford to sit and wait for the magical land of tomorrow. Tomorrow is a mythical land where 98% of all hopes and dreams and promises reside. We should not, no, we cannot wait for tomorrow to start the work of salvation. It must start today. It reminds me of a song that I love. It says "No one will take the fall! We're all so comfortable with living in our sheltered holes! No one will take the fall! But if we tried we could all change the world!"  It's true. If we just try we can change the whole world. We can do things today that can help people come to know the truth. So stop waiting and get up and move it!  I'm so sick of people telling me that they'll get around to it or they'll do it when they have time. No. Just no. Go and make time. We must make time and do something for the eternal salvation of mankind. You might be sick of it, but I'm going to keep on telling people to get up and go change the world. My commitment for you guys is just that. Go and share the gospel with somebody.  I challenge all of you to give somebody a Book of Mormon and then email me and tell me how it went.
I love you all. I know that this church is the true church of Christ and it was restored by Joseph Smith. It is our responsibility to share it with the world.
