| Prepping the moose heart |
Tuesday was great. Preperation day was good, as usual. It really warmed up though.... up to +10 C! It was crazy! It's been really warm all week! We had supper with the Whitehead's. It was great. After that we went and had a lesson with Donna. She's awesome. She is crazy though, which is a good thing! haha. She likes to talk so much, it's ridiculous. I love it. It was a crazy lesson though.
Wednesday we had the follow up training meeting. We got to skype in to that! it was really good, and then we went and helped Willie clean up a little in his yard. It was really cool. He's such a good guy, it's awesome. After that we had supper with the Johnston's. It was really good. Then we stopped by a few potentials, and then went to bed!

Thursday was a party! We had district meeting, and for district lunch, we stuffed the moose heart, and baked it at 350 for 3 1/2 hours. It was really good. Surprisingly! After district Meeting and cleaning up, we drove out to Chetwynd for supper with the Thola's. It was really good. Then we went to the Gorner's and had a lesson with them. It went really well, and then we left. It was really good.
| Yum! |
Friday we had a good weekly planning session in the morning. After that we went and visited Shannon. She's doing well, and she gave us a loaf of Banana Bread! It was really good bread. The best part of the day was calling all of the members in the ward list. One of them talked to us for 20 minutes about how she can't come to church because of something that happened 20 years ago..... really? I just don't get it. Just come to Church!! After calling people, we stopped by some of them. Supper was with the Wry's. It was really good. We had an interesting conversation on the Word of Wisdom after that, and then we went home!
Saturday we went tracting. We talked to a guy named Rick, who talked to us for about 45 minutes about some crazy conspiracy theories.... It was intense! Apparently, the CIA is run by a bunch of Mormons. Learn something new every day, eh? haha. After that we met a guy named Doug. He asked us if we had a bible, we didn't, but we gave him a Book of Mormon. He said he'd take it and start reading it. It was really cool. We got his Phone number and then we went to Sister Winfield's for lunch and a lesson with Analyn. It was an awesome. lesson. We committed her to be baptized on the 5th of March! it was incredible. After that lesson we finished tracting the street that we started in the morning. We met a lady named Janelle, who told us to text her and set up an appointment later, and then we met Harley, a Filipino man who told us to come back later! It was a really awesome tracting day! After that we went and helped the Wonnacott's son move from Pouce Coupe to Dawson Creek. It was a really cool day.
Sunday is when the crazy really happened. After Chruch we went and gave Doug a bible. He loved it. He was so excited to get a King James version of the Bible. After that, he told us a little bit of his story. It was so awesome..... (again, if you want specifics, email me!) After that we went and visited Heather. It was a really good lesson, and then we went and ate lunch. We had Moose Steaks..... A lot of moose this week! After that we went to Joe's for a lesson...... It too was a really interesting lesson. Basically, we gave a lesson on how to resist the power of the devil....... just read and pray! that's all! AFter that we had Supper at Shannon's. It was really good, and we had a lesson on the second coming after supper. It was an ok lesson. It could've been better. After that we had a lesson with Amber about personal revelation. That lesson was awesome. It was a really crazy day!
Monday was really good. we went and volunteered at the Salvation Army. It was really good. Elder Hubner and I love going there. After lunch, we set up a whole bunch of appointments with Investigators. We should have a really good week this week. The best part of the day was doing a power hour with the Whitehead's. We talked about having the faith to find, and then we let them choose where we were going to go tracting. It was awesome. We got a couple of potentials out of it, and then there were several people who wouldn't even talk to us. It was hilarious. The coolest thing was a guy named Daniel told us that he respects us and that he's glad that somebody has the courage to go out and try to change the world, especially young guys like us. It was a super cool experience. We had supper with Willie, and then we went and had a lesson with Chrystal. She's a member in our ward who doesn't get out much. After that we had a lesson with the Ward's and Richard committed to quit smoking this week!
This week taught me a lot about loving people as they are. We don't have to ask them to change before we can love them, we can just love them! It doesn't mean we have to love what they do, but we can love them enough to help them overcome all things. Charity is the best thing to have, ever. the Apostle Paul puts it best in 1 Corinthians 13. I encourage everybody to read that and try to live life just loving people. It's a lot more fun, and a lot more enjoyable if you focus on the good rather than the bad. Go for it!
Love you all, have a wonderful week!
