This week was insane! I loved every second of it.
Tuesday we had supper with the Johnston's. It was great as always. After supper we drove out to Hythe to exchange with the zone leaders. I went to Grand Prairie with Elder Thomas. It was a good night.
Wednesday was awesome. Elder Thomas and I walked to an appointment and had a good lesson on the word of wisdom with a recent convert. It went really well, and then we went to Boston Pizza for wings. It was awesome. I got to see Elder Wilkinson again! If you don't remember he was my first companion in Red Deer almost a year ago. It was great. After that Elder Thomas and I went and taught a lesson on the Ten Commandments. It went really well, and it was cool to see the guy we taught start to understand. We then went and visited a man named Brother Hockey. How cool s name is that? We set up another lesson with him, and went to supper. We exchanged back after supper.
Thursday was awesome. We had lunch at Dairy Queen with Joe. It was awesome, and we had a good discussion. We went and shoveled Heather's deck, and we stopped in for a quick message. It was good. We shoveled off Willie's roof after that. I can honestly say it's the first time I've gotten on top of a house to shovel it off! After some crazy afternoon-ness we were able to meet with Guy again! We haven't seen him for almost 8 weeks. It was really good, and we were able to gauge where he's at so we know what to teach next! Then we went and had a good lesson with David. We were able to see a little bit of the Canucks hockey game, and then we taught a good lesson on service. It was a great day.
Friday was interesting. We had our weekly planning session, and then we went and picked up our lunch from Sister Winfield. She just made us lunch! After lunch we went to the SPCA and helped out. We worked with Roxy, Denver, and Titan. It was great fun, and then we went to the Whitehead's for supper. It was a really good day.
Saturday we drove to Grande Prairie for Zone Conference. It was a really good meeting, just long. We learned all sorts of stuff, like how to study better, how to work with members, and a whole plethora of other subjects. It was good. We got back into town, and we had a lesson with the Ward's. It was a really good lesson, and it was a
great day.
Sunday was fantastic. We had Ward council in the morning, and then church went well. We went and shared a lesson with Heather and Dennis about family history. Heather really wants to start doing that! Then we had a lesson with Analyn. We taught all the rest of the commandments and then she chose a day to be baptized! March 26 is the day it's gonna happen! I'm so excited. We got to drive out to Chetwynd for supper with the Gorner's. It was awesome, and we had a good lesson on unselfish service. After that we drove back to Dawson, and had a lesson with Amber. It was really good. It was a really fun day.
Monday was alright. We helped out at the Salvation Army, and then we had lunch. After lunch we organized the map we have on our iPads and out in a whole bunch of pins for people we are working with.....My screen is full of holes now! Haha just kidding, not that kind of pin! It took a while, but it got done. We had supper with Willie and Bev, and then we had a lesson on faith with the Ward's. It went really well. It was a great week.
This week was great. After last week, which was a little more rough, I learned that the Lord sometimes puts our faith to the test to see if we'll still be obedient and faithful. It will be difficult, but it will also be the most rewarding thing ever. Never, ever give up. It's not an option. As long as we are doing the things we're supposed to be doing, nothing can stop us from working miracles.
